Hard to believe it's already p-day again! I struggled to focus on this email this week, so sorry if you didn't get a personal email from me this week! I ran out of time! Next week will be better, I promise :) So this is just a big list of all the things that happened this past week. At least, the things I can think of.
We had zone conference on Tuesday, so there were a ton of missionaries here for p-day and we all went to a big field and played soccer and stuff. It was super fun, even though I got a little sunburned. I've got a gnarly watch tan started.
Zone conference was really kind of overwhelming! We got like a thousand different things to work on, but the biggest one was working more with the members and trying to get them involved in the work. We need to try to keep working with the members to get referrals and then focus on teaching those referrals with the members. Teaching in members' homes is way more effective than just knocking doors, so hopefully we can help the members catch that vision.
We got to plant flowers at the temple this week, which was way fun! We had to leave early because we had a lesson, but it was still a good time. It got kind of windy at the end, but it looks super good now.
We went on exchanges, which was really fun! Sister Seegmiller and I went to find a few less active members in a trailer park and I accidentally locked the keys in the car. So that was a good time. Good thing we're not too far from the mission office so Elder Hawley could come rescue us.
We had six investigators at church! The Thomases came, even though they didn't stay for all three meetings, and then we had two new investigators, Jesus and Adrian. We taught their mom, Lorena, a while ago, and then we went back and taught the whole family. Hopefully as the boys start to get more involved, Lorena will have more interest. She works crazy shifts, so our next appointment with her isn't for like another month. We're hoping to meet with Jesus again before that. It was super stressful trying to get them to church and then getting them to all their classes. We had a third hour meeting so the youth were teaching Sunday school and yeah. It was all madness. Sunday's only a day of rest if you're not a missionary. Everyone made it to their classes and I think they had a good time, though!
Finally got a picture of a great mural in Mandan, so enjoy that!
This is like the worst email that's ever happened, so sorry! Missionaries are distracting. Next week will be better, I promise.
Just so you're aware, I'm pretty sure that p-day next week will be on Tuesday instead of Monday because of Memorial Day (people will be off work, so we're going to try to find a few more of them). So don't be worried if you don't see an email on Monday! It will come!
Love you all!
