Week 39: It's raining referrals!

Gonna be a shorty today because there's not a whole lot going on around here! Sister Harris and I are still chilling in West Fargo and Sisters Elzinga and Feeny are staying, too. We've got 3 new elders, and Sister Dillon (my beautiful MTC comp) is our new STL, so it's going to be a pretty fun transfer!

June came to church again and left after sacrament meeting. I think she's just trying really hard to find things she doesn't like because it's so different from what she's used to. She had the faith to come again, though, which we weren't expecting. And she's still really into the Book of Mormon, and that's the most important thing right?

Winter finally got here and it went from cardigan weather to three-pairs-of leggings weather basically overnight. It snowed just a little bit, and I'm sure there's plenty more where that came from. It gets dark so fast that tracting at night is going to get increasingly more difficult. We'll figure it out, though. More people are letting us past the threshold because it's cold, which I guess is nice.

Been doing a lot of tracting lately and haven't had a ton of success. It's funny because sometimes you'll talk to someone and they'll give you this blank stare because they know you want something from them but they don't quite know what it is, so they don't know how to get you to go away. Missionary work is just a lot of awkward interactions with strangers and then sometimes you get to teach them the gospel. That's been kind of a bummer, but we met with a bunch of referrals because we got like 4 this week for some reason, so there's some new people for us to teach! A couple of them seem to be a little more socially interested in missionaries, so they might have a harder time progressing, but we'll see what we can do.

It's weird to think that I've been a missionary for nine months! Feels like forever and at the same time feels like I still have no idea what I'm doing. I do feel like I've changed and I'm sure that I'll continue to figure out those changes for the rest of my life.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We're going to be spending the day with members so it should be pretty fun. This is a great time to be thankful for all the things we have in life!

D&C 78:19 - "And he who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more."

Love you all!
